Explanation
This 56-character string is probably the most copied Base64 value on the internet. Decoded, it is a 42-byte GIF image that is one pixel wide, one pixel high and fully transparent.
It is used as a spacer or placeholder in HTML e-mails and lazy-loading scripts (<img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGOD…">), and as a tracking pixel returned by analytics servers.
The prefix R0lGOD is the Base64 form of GIF8, so any string starting with it is a GIF image.
You can decode any similar value yourself with the Base64 decoder, or identify a file from its first characters with the Base64 to File converter.
