Search is full of “Instagram video downloader”, “LinkedIn post download”, “Pinterest image saver” and “Kuaishou downloader” sites. They look useful. We will not ship them on Base64Encoding.com.
Why we refuse platform downloaders
- Terms of Service — Meta, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Kuaishou and peers prohibit unauthorized scraping and bulk download of other people’s posts.
- Copyright — Most posts belong to creators. A one-click downloader makes redistribution easy; we do not want to be that pipeline.
- Trust — Many downloader sites inject malware, phishing or steal session cookies. That is the opposite of a private developer toolkit.
If you need your own content offline, use each app’s official save/export features or the creator tools those platforms provide.
Gaps we do fill (EU, US and worldwide)
Developers and marketers still need everyday media utilities that upload-based SaaS handle poorly:
| Need | Our approach |
|---|---|
| Shrink photos before Base64 / WhatsApp | Compress image (local) |
| Transparent PNG for logos / product shots | Remove background (local Canvas) |
| Favicon pack + head tags | Favicon generator |
| Gzip JSON before Base64 APIs | Gzip compress |
| Embed safely | Image to Base64 |
All of these run in the browser. That matches GDPR-minded European teams and US builders who do not want client photos on a random SaaS disk.
What about AI hair-perfect cutouts?
Dedicated on-device ML removers exist. We start with solid-backdrop removal (studio white, UI chrome, green screen) because it stays tiny, offline-friendly and license-clean next to our Base64 engine. Compress + cutout + Base64 is the workflow most sites miss.
