In August 2026 Canva briefly forced a Canva logo onto Pro QR codes and pushed Business plans to remove it. Even after the rollback, people still search for QR codes that never expire and are not wrapped in tracking redirects.
Static vs dynamic
| Type | What happens |
|---|---|
| Dynamic | QR points at a short URL someone else hosts — can expire or change |
| Static | Your URL/text is baked into the PNG — works forever offline |
Our QR generator is static:
- Encodes exactly what you type (previewed on the page)
- Optional center logo (use error correction H)
- PNG download or data URI
- No signup, no watermark, no tracked short link
